Davide Boncimino guest shift at 1930: One Marshall Please / by shane eaton

Davide Boncimino, known as "The Prodigy" aka Head Bartender at The Other Room of Singapore visited 1930 Milano for a Valentine's Day guest shift. Before starting at The Other Room, Davide also spent time as head bartender Mr. Fogg's Residence in London. It was great seeing Davide again, who was a great host to us when we visited him in Singapore

Davide's cocktail list included his delicious "One Marshall Please", a drink in the final of the Bacardi Legacy 2017 competition. He named the drink after a regular customer named Marshall who happens to love rum. 

The Marshall drink includes Bacardi 8, dry oloroso sherry, St Germain elderflower, fresh lemon juice, agave nectar and black peppercorn.

In addition to his drink, Davide also brought the Bacardi Legacy drinks of his fellow finalists in Singapore. These included Regalo from Cedric Allen Mendoza of Manhattan, Rising Wind from Brendon Khoo of 28HKS/Crackerjack and Yellow Ribbon from Uno Jang of Orgo.

Considering Davide doesn't gain any advantage in the competition by doing PR for his friends' drinks, I asked him why he would do such a thing. He told me that his cocktail, dedicated to his favorite customer, is all about friendship and hospitality. Even if he isn't gaining an advantage in the competition, he is happy to help out the Singapore bar scene as a whole, which is very much like a family.
